Weekly Opportunities for Worship at Claremont UCC

8:15 a.m. Service of Worship
This service of worship is offered every Sunday in the Kingman Chapel
(the building on the corner of Harvard and Harrison).  An abbreviated version of the 10:00 a.m. service including the opening hymn and liturgy, sermon, and prayer, this smaller service has an intimate and worshipful feel.

Childcare is provided in the Courtyard off the Guildhall (the building west of the Chapel)

10:00 a.m. Service of Worship
This service of worship is offered every Sunday in the Sanctuary (the building on the corner of Harvard and 6th Street).  This service includes a Children's Celebration, a Choral Anthem, as well as all the traditional parts of worship.

Childcare is provided in the Courtyard off the Guildhall (the building South West of the Sanctuary) and Children's Church School is offered following the Children's Celebration.

Worship at the Claremont United Church of Christ follows the format suggested by the United Church of Christ Book of Worship.  It includes the acts which have characterized Christian worship since earliest times: Praise, Confession, Proclamation, and Response.

Everything that you need to participate fully in worship is included in the printed bulletin.  The three hymns are numbered in the bulletin and indicate the hymn that can be found in the New Century Hymnal (located on the rack of the pew in front of you).  To follow the order of worship, begin with the off-white worship guide.  The colored insert provides more information about CUCC, as well as contains the Church Covenant that is recited following the sermon.

The Lord's Prayer
Our father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name.  Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.  Give us this day, our daily bread, and forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors.  And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil, for thine is the kingdom, the power, and the glory forever.  Amen
